Saltwood Church of England School is a Voluntary-Aided School and as such, the Governing Body acts as the admissions authority for the school. Applications must be made by completing a RCAF on-line or by completing a paper version. If you wish to apply to the school on religious grounds you will need to complete the school’s supplementary information form and return it to the school. The supplementary information form is used in the event of over-subscription. Please note that following our consultation in 2021, admission arrangements for 2022-23 have been altered by the governing body such that a supplementary information form will not be necessary for admissions from September 2022
STARTING SCHOOL IN SEPTEMBER 2022?
Thank you for considering Saltwood Church of England Primary School for your child. You are making an important decision and we wish to do all we can to support you in this process.
During the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic we aim to restrict the number of visitors to school, so will not be holding large ‘open day’ events this year. Tours of the school are available for individual families by appointment. Please contact the school office on 01303 266058 or firstname.lastname@example.org
You can apply for a place at our school via the KCC website www.kent.gov.uk/ola any time between November 2021 and January 2022.
APPLYING FOR A SCHOOL PLACE MID-YEAR
A parent can apply for a place for their child at any school at any time. To make an In-Year application parents should contact the school office and request an In Year Application Form. An offer will be made if places are available, or the child will be placed on our waiting list which is ranked by the application of our oversubscription criteria as detailed in the above Admission Arrangements
Timetable for parental appeals
If your child is due to start primary, infant or junior school in 2022 you can appeal mid April and May 2022 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard by July 2022. For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 schools days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 schools days of the appeals being lodged.
