Pupil Premium Provision
The Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England. It is designed to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities perform better, and close the gap between them and their peers. Pupil Premium pupils are monitored closely and we utilise the funding to ensure high quality provision to suit individual requirements.
Provision for 2023-2024
11.1% of pupils are eligible for Pupil Premium and we expect to receive £28,755 in funding. Our provision will include:
- High focus and expectations for our Pupil Premium pupils
- Quality first teaching and intervention support
- Individual and small group in-school tutoring sessions
- Welfare support including through nurture, social skills groups, play therapy and counselling
- Identification of barriers and implementation of support strategies through 1-1 mentoring with deputy head teacher
- Seeking specialist support where needed, in partnership with SENCO
- Access to extra-curricular activities for all Pupil Premium pupils
- Funding for extra-curricular activities to support well-being and development of cultural capital, including school trips, Kent Music School lessons, swimming and sports clubs
- Close home / school liaison to offer best support for individual needs
- Attendance support
- Resources to support individual needs
- Story books and bespoke social stories to support transition and individual needs
- Support to purchase school uniform where needed

12.5% of pupils were eligible for Pupil Premium and we received £34,650 in funding for the academic year. Our provision included:
