Saltwood Wins District Sports (again!)

This week has been the exciting Shepway District Sports. Saltwood definitely dominated on the track and field; so it was no surprise when we won the Upper-middle schools trophy for the third year running! In the Championships we were also victorious: Anaya, Theo and Delilah are all now Shepway sprint champions; Year 6 boys relay came a close second in their final and both the Yr5/6 girls and mixed year 3 and 4’s won their relays! The final 400m races were also just as exciting with Edward giving it his all and coming an excellent third and Anaya a thrilling second following a nail-biting finish. Once again the whole team were complimented on their behaviour and it was lovely to see their team spirit; there were some serious pep talks going on. Well done everyone! Saltwood School’s athletics prowess is currently the talk of Shepway! Perhaps we have another future Olympian amongst our team?
