Commonwealth Athlete Visit!

On 1st May the children enjoyed a visit from a Commonwealth Games athlete, Courtney Orange. In a fun-packed and active morning he led challenges for each class as they completed a set of sponsored physical activities to raise money for the school. Courtney finished with a whole school assembly on the benefits of physical exercise and shared his inspiring sporting journey.

  In his assembly to the school, Courtney emphasised the importance of maintaining a positive mindset, repeating the mantra of, "I can do it!" He told us about the successes he has had in his career as a gymnast and as a dancer for Will Smith, Madonna and The Spice Girls, but also the problems he has overcome by repeating the "I can do it!" mantra to himself during difficult times.
