Recently, we were extremely lucky to have one of the highly skilled coaches from the Shepway Sports Trust to come into Saltwood and teach our Year 5 and 6 children about the sport of cheerleading. In each session, the children were taught how to safely perform different types of lift, perform different cheerleading tricks and different tumbling techniques. Everyone really enjoyed themselves as they learnt about a new sport and showed lots of great skills. Also, as an added bonus our school Sports Leaders were treated to a special session where they were taught about the coaching elements of cheerleading so they can use this in their Sport Leader role.
