Solving a problem with Science!
With the class working on materials and their properties this term, Mr Wells “received an email” from a very disgruntled Ivor Sorefoot, complaining that his new trainers were not good enough. He asked the class to help him find out which materials would be best for trainer soles. Our first investigation, as shown in the images, helped us to find out which materials were the bounciest! We bounced balls of differing materials and measured the heights they reached. We considered using tangerines as part of this investigation but thought it might get too messy!
