Welcome to Year 5 at Saltwood Primary

Class 5 had an excellent day at Arethusa Adventure Centre. Whilst there they did rock climbing, archery and trust games.

The aim for the day was to further develop their team work skills, including cooperation and communication.

Here are some photographs of our day;

To bring our topic about Anglo Saxon Britain to life we spent the day with the wonderful leaders from Living History Workshops.

As part of our topic on Rivers and Coasts we used corrugated cardboard to make models of a coastline, showing some features found along coastlines. We also visited Brockhill Country Park where we did some field work in the Brockhill Stream.

We took depth measurements, which we used to create life sixed stream profiles, and we measured the flow rate of different parts of the stream.
